Last week, five of our weavers travelled from our atelier in Ukraine to Stockholm, bringing their remarkable craftsmanship to our showroom on Grev Magnigatan.
Over two days, guests had the rare opportunity to watch our weavers at work, as they selected patterns, tested colourways, and brought motifs to life thread by thread. They could also experience Vandra Rugs' different techniques up close, including hand-weaving, tapestry weaving, and the intricate braiding of the rug endings, each demanding its own rhythm, patience, and precision.

For many visitors, it was the first time seeing a rug take shape from raw material to finished piece, and understanding just how much time and skill sits behind something that so often gets overlooked underfoot. Every knot, every colour choice, and every finishing detail is the result of years of expertise passed down within our weaving atelier in the Carpathian Mountains.

It was also a chance to meet the people behind the making of every Vandra rug, and to experience first-hand the skill, precision and time that goes into each piece. Moments like these are a reminder of why we do what we do, to bring craftsmanship, care and a sense of place into every space our rugs find their way to.
